‘Expo Ghana,’ which precedes the ‘Ghana Party in the Park’ event, will be held from July 12 to July 13, 2023, at the Canary Wharf Hotel in London. The event is a platform for Ghanaian entrepreneurs to showcase their made-in-Ghana products for patronage and create opportunities for them in the United Kingdom.

Organisers say this year’s event will be extended by one day to accommodate the real estate and construction industries, following stakeholders’ requests and favourable comments from attendees in the previous year.

Akwaaba UK CEO, Dennis Tawiah, was represented by Mr Chris Koney, a member of the Akwaaba UK team, at the event launch. In his speech, Chris Koney expressed that African made products are quickly gaining prominence in global markets, and Expo Ghana was created last year to provide a platform for made-in-Ghana products to be showcased and create opportunities for Ghanaian entrepreneurs in the UK. He further added that the expansion of the event by one day this year is in response to stakeholders’ requests and favourable comments from attendees from the previous year.

The British High Commissioner to Ghana, Harriet Thompson, praised Akwaaba UK for the excellent initiative to open doors for both UK and Ghanaian businesses and for providing a forum for discussions between Ghanaian and UK industry leaders to consider joint ventures and creating synergies. She also commended Akwaaba UK for continuing the ‘Ghana Party in the Park’ event for over a decade and expanding it into one of the highlights on the UK’s calendar of African entertainment.

All in all, the ‘Ghana Party in the Park’ and ‘Expo Ghana’ events provide an excellent opportunity for Ghanaian entrepreneurs to showcase their products and create opportunities for themselves in the United Kingdom. The events are also a platform for discussions between Ghanaian and UK industry leaders, leading to joint ventures and creating synergies. The events are a significant highlight on the UK’s calendar of African entertainment and promise to be fun for the whole family.
