Natalie Bassingthwaighte, the Australian performer, shared a heartfelt Valentine’s Day message on social media, offering fans a glimpse into her life with her new partner, Pip Loth.
In the post, Bassingthwaighte uploaded a black-and-white photo of herself and Loth with the caption “YOU,” accompanied by lips, heart, and rainbow emojis.
Friends and fans congratulated the couple, admiring their beauty in the photo. Bassingthwaighte continued the tribute with another post featuring a portrait of Loth smiling, taken by Bassingthwaighte herself. The Neighbours star has been dating Loth, a Stage Manager at the Queensland Theatre Company, for several months.
Their public relationship began in November 2023, a week after Bassingthwaighte revealed she was in a relationship with a woman following the end of her 12-year marriage. Despite initial fear about disclosing her same-sex relationship to the public, Bassingthwaighte sought advice from her ex-husband and Rogue Traders bandmate, Cameron McGlinchey.
“I rang Cam and I was hysterical. And he said, ‘It’s OK. This is your truth and you now have to sit in it and stand in it and own it.’ So to have that support from him has been nothing short of beautiful, and I’m very grateful for it,” she said.
“Now I can speak from my own mouth, on my own truth, and that feels rewarding.
“But before? It’s terrifying and it’s debilitating because you’re waiting for someone to snap a picture of you and make it salacious. To live like that is … oh, it’s not fun. And I’ve been doing that for a little while now. So it’s nice to say it.”
