Early on in the UEFA U-16 Development Tournament, the Black Starlets were outstanding, winning matches against both Spain and the tournament’s hosts, Serbia.

After humiliating Serbia by four unanswered goals in their previous match, Ghana’s campaign against the hosts Serbia on April 13, 2023, was followed by a match against Spain.

The Starlets surprised everyone by defeating the Spanish juggernauts 3-2 to earn six points in two games.

Despite losing two members of his starting lineup in that difficult match against Spain, coach Abdul-Karim Zito still came out stronger in the West African team’s final group match to secure a remarkable victory.

Benjamin Tsivanyo, a talented forward who scored five goals in three games, took home the golden boot title.

Following a successful tournament, the team is anticipated to arrive back on Wednesday.
