About the Advertiser’s Farm:
We are looking for a Farm Manager for our 3000 acre premium farming and recreational property in the stunning Central Tablelands of New South Wales.
We are a family-run farm that raises Aussie White sheep and stud and commercial Angus cattle naturally mixed together. In addition, we raise our own hens and eggs and maintain a small herd of rare breed pigs, deer, and horses.
Alongside an optimistic mindset and a wealth of expertise, our new farm manager is ready to embark side by side with us on our growth mission. We are always expanding and have a wide range of beneficial connections with farmers and suppliers, as well as plant equipment and a vast infrastructure.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Daily management of horses, pigs, deer, hens, and sheep
- Encourage, equip, and support the small farm crew.
- Make timetables and plans for feeding, cleaning, slaughter, plant equipment maintenance, and delivery.
- Maintenance of pastures and paddocks, including fencing
- Supervision of all WH&S purchases, finances, and sales
- Accurate and thorough reporting that covers input orders, operational expenses, and livestock movements and counts.
- Tracking the nutritional needs and health of the animals.
Concerning You:
- This is a hands-on position that calls for initiative and drive.
- Candidate must have prior experience with cattle.
- Candidate must be able to give first aid for farm animals.
- Candidate must have a driving license. A truck license is
- beneficial.
- Candidate must have knowledge on usage of farm machinery and vehicles in a safe and competent manner
