Accepting Dr Bawumia as president is like fetching water with a basket – NDC man
If Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is elected President of Ghana, according to a member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) communications team, terrible things will happen.
Chris Doughan asserted that the vice president lacks the legitimacy to serve as the nation’s leader.
The NDC representative was responding to insults from the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) after former President John Mahama won the flagbearership contest while appearing on Adom FM’s morning program, Dwaso Nsem, on Monday.
On May 13, 2023, Mr. Mahama received 98.9% of all the votes cast in the party’s presidential primary.
The NPP claims that because they defeated the previous President in 202 of the polls, this win does not represent a danger to them.
The NPP predicted that all of its candidates for president, particularly Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, will defeat John Mahama in the 2024 elections.
According to Chris Doughan, the NPP’s viewpoint is the result of ignorance.
According to him, given the track record of Dr Bawumia, “Ghanaians accepting him as President is like fetching water with a basket.”
