He called on lawyers to serve their clients and the public in truth and honesty and boost professional standards while preserving the rule of law.

Dr. Abban made this admonition against the backdrop of the General Legal Council’s call of some 196 students to the Ghana Bar on Friday, May 5th, 2023.

The International Clergy Association (ICA) is a body of ordained ministers of God formed on January 31st, 2008, in Accra, Ghana. It seeks to bring pastors, Christians, and their extended families into common ministry and advance the kingdom of God.

ICA provides a collaborative network of pastors across the globe, allowing a pastor to have preaching appointments in other affiliated churches when out of the home country.

In this connection, ICA provides ordination, divine direction, spiritual and physical empowerment of pastors, churches, and Christian organizations worldwide that are engaged in Christian ministry, including outreach, discipleship, missions, and economic empowerment.

Similarly, The National Association of Clergy Ghana (NACAG) is a body of ordained ministers of God or persons called by God to do His work in a professional manner. It serves as an advocate for ministers of God in Ghana and helps to ordain and license member pastors.

Dr. Abban’s call to lawyers and legal practitioners is a reminder that their work is essential in ensuring a just and fair society. For the most part, the legal system exists to protect the rights of all individuals, and the integrity of those who operate within it must be upheld at all times.
