Residents of Sagnarigu praise me despite the delegates’ rejection of me A.B.A Fuseini
Alhaji A.B.A Fuseini, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Sagnarigu, claims that despite his defeat in the recent constituency National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primary, the general public still honours and loves him. As a Muslim, he said, he saw his loss as Allah’s handiwork.
“I practise Islam. We claim that Allah’s will is the cause of all that occurs.In an interview with journalist Johnnie Hughes on 3FM, he stated, “There is a vast narrative to tell, therefore I am not someone who delves into what fate has determined differently.
He emphasised that despite the delegates’ decision not to extend his term, his people are grateful for the job he has done throughout his three terms as a member of parliament.
“Johnnie, I can state without a shadow of a doubt that the wonderful people of Sagnarigu celebrate me. Even now, I can tell you. Johnnie, I’ve never been asked to leave anything.They did not support me for a second term. But I can assure you that it would be wonderful if one day you would go to Sagnarigu with your cameras and other equipment and interact with the locals there. My term was not extended by the delegates, but I can promise you that the Sagnarigu people still think highly of me. They have given me three reliable words, if nothing else. You don’t appreciate the value of your buttocks until there is a boil on them, Johnnie, I can tell you that,” he added.
A considerably younger candidate, Attah Isaah, defeated ABA Fuseini, who was well-known for his love of proverbs.
