Government Spokesperson Palgrave Boakye-Danquah is set to contest the New Patriotic Party (NPP) primaries in the Abuakwa North Constituency. Boakye-Danquah has been busy in the constituency, embarking on projects and visiting constituents, making it clear that he intends to become the 2024 NPP Parliamentary Candidate. His recent visit to the Victory Preparatory School in Akyem Kukurantumi was part of his efforts to interact with teachers and pupils in the constituency.

The current Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North Constituency is Gifty Twum-Ampofo. She was elected MP following the tragic murder of JB Danquah-Adu in 2016. The NPP is scheduled to hold its parliamentary primaries for occupied seats in February of next year.

Boakye-Danquah is the Executive Director of the Kandifo Institute, and he has not made his intentions unknown in becoming the next lawmaker for that constituency. His bid for the parliamentary seat will be highly contested, as there are other strong contenders vying for the same position. The constituency is known to be an NPP stronghold, and winning the primaries is a crucial step towards becoming the parliamentary candidate for the party.

For the most part, Boakye-Danquah has been actively involved in community projects and has also been vocal on governance and security matters. His experience in politics and community development makes him a formidable contender in the upcoming primaries. However, he will have to convince the delegates of the constituency to vote for him over his competitors, which will not be an easy task.

All in all, the race for the Abuakwa North parliamentary seat is heating up, and Boakye-Danquah’s entry into the fray will make it more competitive. His campaign strategy and ability to connect with the delegates and constituents will play a significant role in determining his chances of winning the primaries. The NPP will be closely monitoring the primaries to ensure that the candidate who emerges is capable of winning the general elections and representing the party effectively in parliament.
