Inspector Addo attributed over 90% of the crashes to human error, with overspeeding and wrongful overtaking being the major contributing factors. He emphasized the huge human cost of these accidents and the need for drivers and motorcyclists to comply with road safety protocols. To this end, the MTTD is organizing a road safety talk with drivers and motor riders associations to educate them on the need to observe road safety regulations.

The Oti Regional MTTD Staff Officer disclosed that the necessary logistics needed to discharge their duties were made available to the unit, and frequent patrols were ongoing in various communities in the Municipality to ensure safety on the roads. He urged road users to prioritize safety and cautioned against overspeeding, wrongful overtaking, and other dangerous driving practices.

In conclusion, it is imperative that road users adhere to road safety regulations to avoid accidents and their attendant consequences. The Krachi East Municipality has seen far too many accidents, and it is up to road users to play their part in ensuring safer roads.
