Here is a list of the 15 constituencies that will not vote in the NDC primaries
Due to ongoing disputes on numerous fronts, fifteen constituencies will not participate in the exercise on May 13 as the National Democratic Congress gets ready to hold its legislative and presidential primaries around the nation in various seats.
Once the remaining concerns relating to the various seats are resolved, the party is anticipated to reschedule a date for the elections.
Among these groups are;
Akwatia, Ayensuano, Afram Plains
Manhyia South, Adansi Asokwa and Mampong
Eastern Region
Ashanti Region
South, Lower West Akim
Greater Accra Region
Akontombra constituency
Ayawaso West Wuogon and Odododiodoo constituency
Amenfi East constituency
Western North region
Tano North constituency
Central Region
Effutu constituency
Gomoa Central, Assin North and
Ahafo Region
In total, there will be 217 primaries, with 15 being postponed and 44 being uncontested.
A total of 356,624 party delegates are anticipated to cast ballots in the presidential primary, while 55,862 candidates are competing in the parliamentary primaries held around the nation.
In the meantime, former president John Mahama would be competing for the position of the party’s flagbearer against Kojo Bonsu, a former chief executive officer of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, and Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, a former minister of finance and governor of the Bank of Ghana, who are listed in second and third place on the ballot, respectively.
