At the 2023 Career Excellence Awards (CEA), Robert Kwakye, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Asante Akyem Central Assembly, was recognised as the Ashanti Region’s most outstanding politician.

The MCE got the prize, according to Mr. Prince Gyasi Antwi, Director of (CEA), the organisation that organised the awards, for his exceptional leadership abilities, dependability, enthusiasm to build his municipality, and pursuit of enhancing people’s welfare.

He pointed out that the Domfo Foundation, a non-profit holding a number of programmes to assist the vulnerable over the past 10 years, was an extension of the Career Excellence Awards.

We strongly believe that honour and recognition are the best forms of motivation, which is why we organise the awards. Our foundation engages in a wide range of activities, of which this award is just one.

He said the organisation had decided to honour those who had given so much of themselves—their time, their money, even their lives—for the benefit of the nation.

On Friday, May 5, 2023, a ceremony honouring outstanding people from all facets of development brought together 33 recipients.

The MCE praised the directors of the Donfa Foundation, the Career Excellence Awards, and the assembly members, chiefs, and staff of the Asante Akyem Central for their constant support in his acceptance speech.

Without the assistance of the locals, he admitted, he would not have been able to complete several initiatives in the municipality.

Speaking about his accomplishments, he noted the numerous development initiatives that took place during his administration as well as the distribution of farming inputs, such as premium seeds, fertilisers, insecticides, and pesticides, to help farmers’ efforts in the municipality’s electoral regions.

Nevertheless, he urged the nation’s youth to make the most of their circumstances and said that they would always be noticed and recognised by someone.
