Dr. James Kofi Annan believes that John Mahama will win the NDC primaries by 99%

The 2020 parliamentary candidate for the Effutu constituency, Dr. James Kofi Annan, predicts that former president John Dramani Mahama will garner 99.9% of the vote whenever the National Democratic Party (NDC) has its presidential primary.

In spite of the rivalry and scrutiny being placed on each candidate’s candidacy in the eagerly anticipated campaign, he noted that JDM is poised to take home a significant victory.

According to Dr. Kofi Annan, no one has yet stepped up to publicly oppose Mr. Mahama’s reelection since the former president launched his national campaign.

When he took his campaign to the Central Region, he made the comments in his speech at Winneba to officially welcome the previous president to the podium to address the delegates.

He supported Mr. Mahama’s candidacy, arguing that the right person was needed to unseat the Akufo-Addo-led administration.

He disclosed that the NDC had built the Winneba Trauma and Specialty Hospital, among other development initiatives, in the area.

Dr. James Kofi Annan pleaded with John Mahama to not worry about himself since the electorate was prepared to support him with 100% of the vote. He declared that he would be stunned if JDM did not receive a unanimous vote from the constituency’s delegates.

“When John Mahama began his nationwide campaign, I have yet to come across anyone in our constituency who does not support his cause; I will be shocked if he does not receive 99.99% of the vote. For this reason, I’m pleading with every delegate in the Effutu constituency to vote resoundingly in favor of him,” he stated.
