Deputy Minister for Finance, Dr. John Ampontuah Kumah, Supports Afia Kobi Ampem Girls SHS with GH¢100,000 and Computers

The Afia Kobi Ampem Girls Senior High School in the Ashanti Region has received a GH¢100,000 donation and thirty computers from the Member of Parliament for Ejisu, Dr. John Ampontuah Kumah. The MP’s support for the school came after the school’s engineering club built a model aeroplane and other innovative products, prompting a call for assistance to do more.

During his visit to the school, Dr. John Ampontuah Kumah interacted with teachers and students, encouraging them to give their best in ensuring the school excels in all activities, particularly in STEM. He commended the Minister for Education’s focus on STEM education, which is part of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s vision to build a Ghana beyond Aid.

Dr. John Ampontuah Kumah’s donation to the school included GH¢100,000 and thirty computers. He pledged to continue supporting the school and working with them to achieve more.

For the most part, the donation by the MP for Ejisu, Dr. John Ampontuah Kumah, demonstrates his commitment to promoting quality education, particularly in STEM. The support will go a long way to help the students of Afia Kobi Ampem Girls Senior High School to develop their skills and competencies in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
