Yaw Dabo, a popular Ghanaian actor, paid a visit to Chef Failatu Abdul Razak, a Ghanaian who is attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon at the Modern City hotel in Tamale.

During his visit, he urged the Ghanaian people to show huge support for Chef Faila, pushing her to excel in the competition and shatter the record.

He maintained that just as Ghanaians, particularly celebrities, politicians, and other notable figures, attended Afua Asantewaa’s sing-a-thon in Accra, the same should be done for Chef Faila.

Yaw Dabo also contacted Chef Faila and expressed his desire to eat fufu if it was included in the lunch she was making because it is his favorite.

“So, I will eat fufu,” he told Chef Faila who smiled.

In an interview with the media, he appealed for public support for Chef Faila.

“Our sister is doing a cooking marathon, it is not easy to cook for five hours. I am a cook and I know how to cook but I can’t do it. So I am happy for what our sister [Chef Faila] is doing so let’s appreciate her.

“I want everybody across the 16 regions of Ghana to be here to support her. As celebrities and everyone showed up in Accra for the sing-a-thon, let’s do the same for our sister to encourage her to break the record.”

While hundreds of thousands entered 2024 at churches and places of religion, others did so in places of entertainment or with friends and family.

Chef Failatu Abdul Razak of Malaysia has begun an effort to beat the existing Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon.

She hopes to complete a 120-hour cook-a-thon at the Modern City Hotel in Tamale.
