Rev. Fr. Foster Olator, a Catholic Priest and an old student of Kadjebi Roman Catholic Junior High School, has donated six whiteboards and 12 packets of board markers to his alma mater. The donation is aimed at enhancing teaching and learning in the school and moving away from the traditional use of chalkboards.

Fr. Olator, who is currently based in the United States of America, completed his education in 1991 and urged the students to study hard to help bring back the high academic standards that the school has been known for over the years.

In response to the gesture, Mr Isaac Abavon, an old student and representative on the School Management Committee (SMC), commended Fr. Olator for his kind gesture. He noted that the donation would go a long way in improving academic work in the school, which has been experiencing a decline in academic performance.

Mr Abavon encouraged the students to eschew a lazy approach to learning and to focus on their academic work. He further advised the final year students to concentrate on their books to make good grades in the 2023 Basic Education Certificate Examination.

For the most part, Mr Abavon advised the teachers to work hard to uplift the image of the school and subsequently restore its academic excellence. He also called on the 1988-1991 batch of the school to intervene and improve the academic performance of the school.

On behalf of the staff, Mr Francis Norgbedzi, the headmaster of the school, thanked Fr. Olator for his generosity and called on the old students to always come to their aid. He also implored both teachers and students to help improve the academic performance of the school.

For the most part, Fr. Olator’s donation is a testament to his commitment to the growth and development of his alma mater. It is a call to action for all stakeholders to work together to ensure that Kadjebi Roman Catholic Junior High School regains its position as a top-performing school in the district.
