There has been a lot of speculation about a romantic relationship between Kumasi-based rapper Amerado and popular TV show host Delores Frimpong-Manso, popularly known as Delay. However, the rapper has finally addressed the rumours, stating that there is nothing going on between him and Delay sexually.
The rumour mill had been spinning for the past two years, suggesting that Amerado and Delay were involved in a romantic affair. The speculations heightened in 2022 when fellow rapper Lyrical Joe threw shots at Delay during his beef with Amerado.
But Amerado, in a recent interview with Berla Mundi on TV3 New Day, has dismissed the rumours, saying that Delay naturally adores him and supports his craft. He also denied the assertion that the rumours were engineered to make him popular.
“It was organic, it was natural. She likes me and she was willing to support my craft. There’s nothing like we did it for likes,” he said.
Amerado went on to explain that the bond he shares with Delay is beyond just liking someone, as she hardly opens up to people. He sees her support as a foresight into his future and not just a romantic gesture.
