On Wednesday, when Kennedy Ohene Agyapong arrived in the Assin Fosu community as part of his listening tour campaign, everything was upside down.

As the cars transporting him and his entourage arrived from the outskirts of the town, the enormous crowd that had assembled to welcome him could not contain their excitement and enthusiasm.

Young and aged men and women could be seen tripping over one another in an effort to view Kennedy Agyapong.

The boisterous gathering was difficult for the local security personnel stationed there to control during a busy period.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) member Kennedy Agyapong, who represents Assin Central Constituency in the House of Representatives, went there to hear the concerns of party members and to let them know that he intends to run for the position of flagbearer when nominations are opened.

As part of his preparation to run for the presidency of his party, Kennedy Agyapong has spent the past two months going on a listening tour across the nation.

Ken is required to listen to concerns about the NPP from various constituencies and areas as part of his trip in order to determine how effectively to address such concerns.

He was compelled to stop and speak with a number of party supporters and others who had gathered on the streets of neighboring settlements going into Assin Fosu, despite the fact that the intended route was for Assin Fosu from Accra.
