Ghanaian boxer, Isaac Dogboe, has vowed to bounce back after his unanimous decision loss to Robeisy Ramirez for the World Boxing Organisation (WBO) featherweight title. Despite apologizing to his fans for the defeat, Dogboe has called for a rematch with Ramirez.

Dogboe went into the fight with the hope of becoming a two-division world champion but was outclassed by Ramirez, who had the upper hand from the first round.

The Cuban boxer dominated the match, delivering a hot uppercut in the second round that forced Dogboe to clinch. In the sixth round, the Ghanaian was caught by a succession of precise left hands.

After the match, Dogboe pointed out his shortcomings and promised to come back stronger to secure a rematch. He said, “I fell short tonight. Congratulations to Robeisy Ramirez, he’s a terrific fighter. He’s a great guy. I was the aggressor [but] I guess I wasn’t aggressive enough. I’ll be back.”

The judges scored the fight 117-110, 118-109, and 119-108, all in favour of Ramirez, who now claims the vacant WBO featherweight title. Despite the defeat, Dogboe remains optimistic about his future in the sport and is determined to make a comeback.
