In an effort to assault the perpetrators, some family members even chased the police car transporting the accused and threw stones at it.

On Monday, September 18, 2023, at his initial court appearance before the Asokore Mampong District Court, the main suspect, 22-year-old Allister John, allegedly confessed to the suspected murder of the businesswoman. Allister John’s alleged accomplice, a second suspect, is also being held in jail.

It was revealed during the initial court hearings that five people, including the two suspects who are presently in jail, conspired to commit the heinous deed.

Collins, Biggie, and Christian Obu, three further suspects who are still at large, have been named by the prosecution. The police are making a concerted effort to prosecute them.

On Tuesday, October 3rd, the prosecution disclosed that the autopsy results suggested the victim died an unnatural death, implying she had been murdered by someone else. This information was presented during their second appearance before the Asokore Mampong district court.

As a result, the prosecution asked the court to remand the suspects for a second time so that they could conduct more investigations, and the court approved their request. On October 17, 2023, the suspects are anticipated to make a second court appearance.
