Chelsea Handler, a bold and humorous comedian known for her fearless opinions on various topics, including politics, childbearing, and luxury, is set to embark on her latest stand-up tour in Australia, titled “Little Big B—h.” Ahead of her tour, she sat down with Karl Stefanovic to offer a glimpse of what audiences can expect from her show.

“It’s an origin story about how I became this way, so it’s a lot of stories of my childhood,” she said.

“I was very much an entrepreneur from an early age, I started a hard lemonade stand when I was around eight years old and sold gin, whisky and tequila.”

Chelsea Handler’s determination was evident even at a young age when her mother took her on her first flight at the age of 10. Upon seeing Chelsea admiring the first-class seats, her mother made it clear to her that she would never be sitting there.

“She’s like, ‘sweetie, we’ll never be able to afford first class’ and I was like, speak for yourself, so I saved up $3000 and the next time I flew with my mum, I bought my own first-class ticket,” she said.

“And when we boarded the plane, I sat in my first class seat and looked up at my two brothers and said, ‘see you at the end of the flight, you idiots.'”

For any Australian ladies looking forward to seeing Chelsea live, she said it may be difficult out there and there are many women searching for advice, so she advised them to “be loud, be proud, and stand up for each other”.

“Men are kind of my specialty and if they’re upset with me, that is a deeper problem within themselves,” she said.

“If you’re upset by a woman who’s independent and free spirited, people should be happy – I’m not having children and they would just be tearing that up, but I do feel very passionately that all women should be able to do whatever the hell they want the way men do whatever the hell they want.”
