Taylor Swift fans were left puzzled after concert promoter Frontier Touring issued a set of guidelines for attendees of the pop star’s Australian concerts.

The touring company posted a comprehensive list of do’s and don’ts for Swifties attending her shows on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday.

“The Eras Tour kicks off in Aus soon, so here are all the important deets before you head to the show!” the tweet read.

“Have Qs? Let us know!”

Frontier Touring’s post included a series of infographics detailing important information for attendees. The first graphic outlined set times, with gates opening at 4:30pm and the show starting at 6:20pm.

The second infographic specified what items attendees can and cannot bring, including restrictions on bag size, friendship bracelets, and prohibited professional photography equipment, iPads, GoPros, tripods, drones, and selfie sticks. The third infographic listed items not allowed at the concert.

The list of banned items for Taylor Swift’s concert includes laptops, tablets, signs larger than 28cm x 45cm, confetti, umbrellas, tents, camping chairs, torches, lasers, aerosols, prams, clothing obstructing views, airhorns, speakers, instruments, outside food or beverage, except for one sealed, soft plastic water bottle up to 600ml.

Some fans were perplexed by the restriction on wearing friendship bracelets on D-rings or similar items.

“I have 400 BRACELETS, how am I supposed to wear them all???” one fan worried.

“Fix this rule, this is ridiculous! Some of us went out of our way to make friendship bracelets, shower rings or carabiners (which) are not dangerous, seriously!” another fumed.

“Why can’t we bring carabiners into the stadium for our bracelets?” asked a third.

“What harm would that be?

“I’ve made some bracelets too small for my arm so I can give them to kids, and now I can’t bring them???”

Some fans were uncertain whether the ban on battery packs included portable iPhone chargers, sparking confusion. Worries arose about smartphone battery life during the concert, which is expected to span several hours.

“Just to clarify, are phone-sized portable chargers for phones acceptable?” one fan wondered.

“The term ‘battery packs’ is very vague. May we please have some clarification on this?”

Another echoed: “Are we allowed portable chargers, like, I’m so confused, no battery packs? Be serious!”

“Portable chargers better be allowed, holy hell,” remarked a third.

According to a statement provided to 7LIFE, Frontier explained some of the criteria.

“D-rings aren’t allowed for the safety of patrons, as they’re a potential item that can be thrown,” a spokesperson said.

“The battery pack refers to commercial sized battery chargers.

“Personal phone chargers smaller than the size of a phone will be permitted.

“We are updating the FAQs to clarify for fans at the moment.”

Taylor Swift will play seven performances in Australia.

She will play in Melbourne’s MCG from February 16 to 18, followed by Sydney’s Accor Stadium from February 23 to 26.
