This was expressed on Monday by Mr. Twum Akwaboah at the Abomosu Senior High School in the Eastern area during the second STEM Promotion Roadshow.

The goal of the STEM Promotion Road Show was to give students, parents, and other key stakeholders insightful information about the many options that STEM education may open up, highlighting the possibility for fulfilling and significant jobs.

Mr. Twum Akwaboah promised that the AGI will work with the Ministry of Education and other stakeholders to strengthen the country’s promotion of STEM education.

He was confident that when more young people took STEM-related classes, it would significantly lessen the need to hire foreigners for important positions in the nation, particularly in the manufacturing and oil and gas industries.

Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, the education minister, said that the reason he is so passionate about STEM education is because it has transformed economies in other areas of the world.

He made a plea to college students, parents, opinion leaders, and society at large to support their children’s interest in STEM fields of study because it was what employers throughout the world were looking for.

In order to provide Ghanaian students with the fundamental abilities and information necessary to succeed in the dynamic field of STEM disciplines, Dr. Adutwum hinted at intentions to establish aviation and aerospace programs in 12 Senior High Schools the next academic year.

Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the information minister, emphasized the significance of creating a self-sustaining ecosystem for generating and servicing what we generate in the nation.

He said that the government was committed to making investments in STEM education across the nation in order to increase the number of professionals with the skills necessary to construct the numerous items we see around us.

Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum was also praised by the information minister for his personal interest in STEM fields and how that desire fuels his drive to excel in that profession.
