The pupils received recognition for their outstanding achievement among the five nations that participated in the exam.

In a Facebook post, Ghana Education Service (GES) praised the youngsters for their accomplishment.

Dr. Eric Nkansah, the director-general of GES, and Father Owusu Sekyere, the headmaster of Opoku Ware School, traveled to The Gambia with Ghana’s team.

At the 2022 National Science and Math Quiz, the pair additionally represented St. James Seminary (NSMQ).

In the quarterfinals, Alex and Eyram defeated GHANASS and Kumasi Sec Tech with an astounding 44 points.

The semi-final matchup between the boys and the contest’s top seeds, Presec Legon and Kumasi High School, was intense, but the boys lost and were eliminated.

Alex Opoku Manu is studying medicine at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology after their success in the 2022 WASSCE.
