Alan Kyeremanten, the former commerce and industry minister, has made a compelling case for becoming the party leader, according to Sylvester Tetteh, also known as Sly, the member of parliament (MP) for Bortianor-Ngleshie-Amanfrom.

He asserts that Alan Kyeremanten, a candidate for office under the banner of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), is the solution to Ghana’s problems.

While Ghanaians are losing trust in the political system, Alan Kyeremanten’s election as the NPP’s flagbearer would usher in a new era in the country’s politics, according to the MP for Bortianor-Ngleshie-Amanfrom in a video uploaded by Accra-based Metro TV.

For the sake of this man who has held public position that nobody can throw accusing fingers at him; he is the man Ghanaians can trust, he added. “We are gradually losing confidence in the Ghanaian body of politics, so we need a new dawn that people will say we are losing interest.”

He proceeded by pleading with the party’s delegates to take the advancement of Ghana’s greater population into account while selecting the flagbearer to stand in for the party in 2024.

“The people of Ghana are hoping Alan Kyeremanten will be the country’s future leader. Therefore, if you are an NPP supporter and you are voting, try not to think of yourself as a delegate. Consider the 17 million Ghanaians who will cast their votes in the December 2024 elections.

“I am an NPP delegate; together with roughly 230,000 others, we will be voting on behalf of 5–6 million NPP supporters. In addition to the 6 million, 17 million Ghanaians will vote on who would lead this country as president. So, consider this: Does your choice reflect the goals of the greater Ghanaian population? If not, then reconsider and cast your ballot for Alan Kyeremanten,” he said.

Sly also emphasised how well Alan Kyeremanten performed as a minister throughout his term, notably in respect to the execution of various 1D1F projects and the car legislation, which completely transformed the Ghanaian auto sector.

Alan has worked for the government. As Minister of Trade and Industry, he did not have overall control over the government; instead, he focused only on his duties so that Alan could not be held responsible. You are aware of the 1D1F and the automotive bill, which is something that is really challenging to perform. The Ghanaian car sector is one of the most prosperous instances of today’s in the West African sub-region or Africa in general, he emphasised.

So, he said, “you have that man here and you want to search elsewhere. The answer to our issues may be found in Alan Kyeremanteng, who has received praise from all around the world.
