Prior to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primaries on November 4, 2023, a member of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign team is projecting a resounding victory for his candidate.
Given the job completed, Yaw Adomako Baafi stated that they are more than convinced that the majority of the more than 200 000 delegates would vote for the Vice President.
Dr. Bawumia will compete against Alan Kyerematen, a former trades minister, and four other candidates.
Despite winning the majority of the votes in the Super Delegates Conference, many people think that other candidates might challenge Bawumia given the size of the field.
However, Mr. Baafi indicated nothing will change on Thursday’s Dwaso Nsem morning show on Adom FM.
Instead, he said that Dr. Bawumia will benefit from his supporters’ votes in the November election, making him the eventual NPP flagbearer.
The Vice President is the only candidate, according to the self-declared Footsoldiers President, who can defeat the eight and keep NPP in power.
Despite this, Mr. Baafi declared that despite their competitive edge, they will not get complacent.
