Rev. Dr. Kwabena Opuni Frimpong, Executive Director of the Alliance for Christian Advocacy Africa, has asked politicians why they intentionally engage in acts that end in the loss of life for the sake of power.
In his opinion, it is foolish to injure the same people that these politicians are supposed to serve once in office.
As a result, he emphasized the significance of politicians focusing on helping the people rather than harming them.
“When you become a Member of Parliament or president, you come in with the intention to serve. Why should your decision to lead and develop us result in the death of people. After killing them, which people will benefit from your development, if they are all dead?” he questioned politicians during an interview on Accra-based Adom FM
Dr. Frimpong further stated that Akufo Addo’s words on growth in Ekumfi do not raise Mahama to extraordinary status.
Akufo Addo earlier asserted that he halted development in Ekumfi because residents failed to vote for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary candidate, Ato Cudjoe.
The man of God expressed dismay with the president’s statement, underlining that the president’s sincerity about his motivation is unsettling.
However, he also noted that this disclosure did not paint Mahama in a positive light.
“I have also listened. Especially where he said, “I want to be honest with you”… to be honest with you(I am actually saying the truth). but if you don’t take care you will think it was just Akufo-Addo’s words but was Mahama any different?, he asked.
