We are yet to submit evidence of sing-a-thon record-breaking attempt – Afua Asantewaa

The Ghanaian who attempted to break the Guinness World Record for the longest singing period by one individual, Afua Asantewaa Owusu Aduounum, has indicated that her team has yet to submit her official effort for recognition.

She said that the judges and technical team have completed their job and will shortly submit it to the Guinness World Record for verification before making an official statement about her record attempt.

Afua Asantewaa explained this as she celebrated the new year with the Potter’s City led by Prophet Nanasei Opoku-Sarkodie in Prampram.

When she arrived, she was greeted warmly, and the Prophet himself led her and her husband to their seats.

Members of her production company, ASKOF Productions, accompanied the two.

Prophet Opoku-Sarkodie, who was eager to meet Afua Asantewaa, said Asantewaa’s confidence had inspired and encouraged him, and she had been his teaching topic since hearing about her.

He prayed for them, draped them in a prayer mantle, and predicted a new chapter in their lives. Earlier in the day, the crew went to a Thanksgiving service at Glorious Word Power International, which is led by Apostle Dr. Isaac Owusu Bempah.

Afua Asantewaa, the newly designated Tourism Ambassador, aimed to break the Guinness World Record for the longest individual singing time.

Her journey began on December 24 and concluded on December 29. The youthful singer performed for 126 hours and 53 minutes.

Sunil Waghmare of India established the current record of 105 hours in 2012.
