American singer and model Pia Mia has arrived in Australia for a series of gigs on both the east and west coasts.
The 27-year-old was spotted at Perth Airport, exuding a pop star look with oversized black designer sunglasses, a fitted black tee, and low-slung jeans. Pia Mia shared her excitement with her 9.9 million Instagram followers before arriving in Perth, where she was seen speaking on her phone and handling her luggage as she navigated through the airport terminal.
Pia Mia has arrived in Australia ahead of her first performance at Bar1 nightclub at Hillarys Boat Harbour near Perth’s CBD. After the Perth gig, she will head to the east coast for the Jammin Festival 2024, Australia’s largest reggae music fest featuring over 20 local and international acts.
Pia Mia headlined the festival alongside reggae legends Sean Paul, UB40, and Shaggy, performing on Day 1 of the Brisbane leg at the Riverstage outdoor entertainment venue on February 3. Subsequently, she performed in Sydney at Parramatta Park on February 4.
“Can’t wait to perform for you in Brisbane and Sydney this weekend,” she wrote on Instagram.
Pia Mia, born in Guam, began her music career in 2011 with the single “Bubblegum Boy” featuring Disney star Bella Thorne. She gained attention with her 2013 cover of Drake’s “Hold On We’re Going Home” and was signed to Interscope Records the same year.
Collaborating with Chris Brown and Tyga in 2015, she released the hit single “Do It Again.” Pia Mia, now a multi-platinum recording artist, achieved success with follow-up hits like “Touch” and “Bitter Love.”
She also featured on will.i.am’s 2016 single “Boys & Girls,” which topped the UK charts. Pia Mia ventured into reality TV through connections with the Kardashian family and appeared on episodes of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” where Kylie Jenner would request Pia to sing her to sleep.
