Amanda Davies, the daughter of soap icon Erika Slezak, a prominent TV personality, passed away suddenly, leaving her family devastated.
At 42 years old, Amanda, known for portraying the teenage version of her mother’s character, Victoria ‘Viki’ Lord, on the enduring ABC soap opera One Life to Live, has left a void. Erika Slezak, aged 77, officially announced her daughter’s untimely demise on the homepage of her official website.
“It is with great sadness that I share the news of the passing of Erika’s daughter Amanda Elizabeth Davies, who died very suddenly,” a message posted Monday read.
“The family is heartbroken and would appreciate privacy at this time.”
As of now, the cause of Amanda Davies’ death remains undisclosed. The New York Post has sought comments from representatives of both Davies and her mother, Erika Slezak.
Born in 1981 to Erika Slezak and actor Brian Davies, Amanda played a younger version of her mother’s character, Viki, in flashbacks on One Life to Live.
Erika Slezak portrayed Viki for a decade, winning six Daytime Emmy Awards during her four decades in the role. Unfortunately, Amanda’s passing marks the second death in the One Life to Live family within less than two months, following the death of actor Kamar de los Reyes on Christmas Eve. Amanda Davies is survived by her mother, father, and brother Michael.
