Tunecore, a leading development partner for self-releasing artists, has announced its partnership with Beatport, the global leader in music for DJs, producers, and their fans. The collaboration will enable Tunecore artists in Nigeria to distribute their electronic music to the Beatport platform. This partnership offers comprehensive distribution options for electronic artists around the world, giving them access to a direct pipeline from their recording studio to the vibrant world of clubs, festivals, and radio.

For the most part, this partnership will allow artists to get their music in front of Beatport’s robust user base of electronic music fans, tastemakers, and professional DJs, as well as the platform’s in-house curation team. By utilizing any of Tunecore’s Unlimited distribution plans, artists will be able to send their music to the Beatport platform. This move is geared towards supporting and promoting new talents in Nigeria’s electronic music industry, allowing a new generation of artistes, producers, and DJs to emerge.

Speaking on the partnership, Tunecore CEO, Andreea Gleeson said: “The collaboration will offer comprehensive distribution options for our electronic artists around the world, and give them access to a direct pipeline from their recording studio to the vibrant world of clubs, festivals, and radio, as well as the potential for additional promotional opportunities through Beatport’s DJ Charts and renowned editorial features.”

The CEO of Beatport Group also affirmed the company’s dedication to supporting new talents, stating that the partnership is a great opportunity to empower a new generation of artists, producers, and DJs in Nigeria. The partnership will also create a platform for Tunecore and Beatport to celebrate the collaboration by launching a talent hunt in May. This will help discover and promote up-and-coming electronic music artists and producers.

Submissions will be open to artists currently distributed by Tunecore, and they will be evaluated by an experienced and diverse panel of industry professionals. This move is significant as it will give these artists the much-needed exposure to a global audience, allowing them to compete on a global scale. With this partnership, Tunecore and Beatport are set to revolutionize Nigeria’s electronic music industry by creating a platform for new talents to emerge, get discovered, and thrive.
