Australian professional rugby league football player Tristan Sailor was born on June 23, 1998. He plays fullback and five-eighth for the Brisbane Broncos in the National Rugby League (NRL).
Sailor was born in Brisbane into a family descended from the Solomon Islands and the Torres Strait.
Wendell, his father who was born in Solomon Islands, was a dual international rugby player who participated in over 300 professional matches in both codes.
When Sailor was seven years old, his family relocated to Sydney. Two years later, they settled in Wollongong, where he started playing junior rugby league for the Western Suburbs Red Devils of the Illawarra Rugby League.
Sailor was raised mostly in New South Wales, but in 2014, the NRL implemented a father-son regulation that verified his eligibility for Queensland’s State of Origin. Sailor declared later in 2014 that representing Queensland had always been his dream.
