As Easter festivities kick off, the Kwahu Ridge in the Eastern Region of Ghana is experiencing heavy security presence to ensure the safety of residents and revelers. Security personnel, including the police, military, fire service, and immigration officers, have been deployed across all communities on the Kwahu Block as part of security measures to maintain law and order.

The security personnel, numbering over 1000, have been equipped with over 500 pickup vehicles, police motorbikes, and armored cars to provide security for all. A security camp with attached clinics has been set up in Kwahu-Mpreaso to attend to any medical emergencies that may arise.

To eliminate the excessive traffic situation that characterized previous Easter celebrations, only buses have been permitted to convey celebrants to the top of the Kwahu Ridge. The police, in collaboration with the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), have assured revelers of their preparedness to ensure an incident-free festive season.

Security personnel have been strategically positioned at vantage points to direct vehicular and human traffic. Anyone who intends to mar the Kwahu Easter celebrations with criminal activities has been warned to stay clear, as the police and other security personnel will be present at every turn to deal with any criminals.

The Kwahu Easter celebrations are always a joyous occasion, and this year will be no exception, thanks to the tight security measures in place to ensure the safety of all.
