The newly sworn-in members were urged by President Akufo-Addo to exercise diligence in the performance of their duties since their choices will be more closely scrutinized than ever before.

The President advised people not to be intimidated by this and to resist attempts to subjugate them.

Instead, let this hope from the Ghanaian people inspire you to achieve great heights and, above all, to do the things necessary to uphold their will.

Dr. Appiahene spoke on behalf of the other members, saying they are prepared to contribute to Ghana’s democracy.

“One should not accept this position lightly, especially given how crucial and delicate the Commission’s job is.

“As a result, we are conscious of the enormous obligations and responsibilities that come with it. We want to say that, particularly in this digital age, we are positioned and better prepared to deliver and contribute to the growth of our democracy.
