The NDC presidential and parliamentary primaries could be halted, according to Duffour

Concerns concerning purported irregularities in the voter list issued by the NDC Electoral Commission have been voiced by Dr. Kwabena Duffour’s campaign team, a presidential flagbearer candidate under the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

In order to address the problem and guarantee an impartial and open election process, the team has requested an urgent round table discussion.

The campaign team requested access to the voters register, which is the foundation for establishing the eligibility of voters in the upcoming presidential and parliamentary primaries, in a letter dated April 17, 2023, according to a press release. In that letter, the campaign team initially raised the aforementioned concerns.

The statement continued that in response to these worries, a meeting was convened at the NDC Party Headquarters on May 2, 2023, during which Dr. Kwabena Duffour’s team was given certain information pertaining to the voter’s register.

However, the campaign team found what they considered to be substantial irregularities within the register after performing a preliminary review of the given data. The discrepancies have caused some people to question the legitimacy of the voting process and the veracity of the voter information that the NDC Elections Commission is providing.

The campaign team for Dr. Kwabena Duffour has urgently asked that the pertinent parties, including major members of the party, participate in a round table meeting to address the issues as soon as possible in view of the worries.

The team stresses the significance of resolving these issues in order to guarantee a transparent and fair election while avoiding any possible missteps that can have serious repercussions.

A request was made to the NDC Party Headquarters on Tuesday, May 02, 2023, asking the voters to register in accordance with the regulations controlling the approaching elections, per an earlier email dated April 17, 2023.

“We made the request to be able to comb over and be extremely satisfied with the register because it is the primary document that will determine the eligibility of the suitable voters and in accordance with the processes linked with our national elections.

“A brief examination of the data provided to us further supports our worries regarding the abundance of inconsistencies in the voters register that the Party is submitting to the C.

A portion of the statement said, The NDC Elections Committee’s acts and inactions may have legal repercussions, and we are bringing this to your attention in this letter.
