She announced the release of her new album, titled “The Tortured Poets Department,” scheduled to drop on April 19.

“A secret that I’ve been keeping from you for the past two years … my brand new album comes out April 19th,” she said as she accepted her award.

The album cover, featuring Swift reclining among pillows in semi-sheer lingerie, was unveiled on her social media channels and official website shortly after the announcement. Fans expressed excitement over the unexpected news, and Swift shared some lyrics from the upcoming album.

Within minutes, the album’s title had been hashtagged over 25,000 times on X (previously Twitter).

“The Tortured Poets Department is my favourite and it’s not even out yet,” one fan gushed.

“Doing Swift zoomies!” wrote another.

“I’m crying, how could she keep this from us???” wrote a third.

One fan joked that Swift was “diabolical” for keeping that news a secret for so long.

“I seriously cannot wrap my head around the fact that she has been keeping this from us for 2 years,” they wrote.
