Suzanne Somers was born on October 16, 1946, in San Bruno, California, USA. She was the third of four children born to Marion Elizabeth (née Turner), a medical secretary, and Francis Mahoney, a labourer and gardener. Suzanne Somers attended Capuchino High School.

She also attended San Francisco College for Women. Suzanne died on October 15, 2023, after a prolonged battle with cancer. She died at age 76, a day before her 77th birthday.
