Due to reports of a banana-loving spider that may give men perpetual erections, an Austrian store was evacuated.
A massive four-inch black and red spider was noticed by the store manager on Tuesday, prompting him to notify the fire department. As a result, the Penny shop in Krems a der Donau, a town 45 kilometers west of Vienna, has been closed ever since.
Emergency personnel worry that the spider, which is still at large, may have been a dangerous Brazilian Wandering Spider, which travels to Europe hidden among banana bunches.

The business has reportedly been shuttered till next week despite the fact that an exterminator has been contacted and all of the banana boxes have been sealed.
According to a Rewe retail group representative, “comprehensive cleaning and disinfection measures” are currently being taken to get the store ready for reopening.
“The erection is a side effect that everybody who gets stung by this spider will experience along with the pain and discomfort,” Romulo Leite of the Medical College of Georgia told Live Science. “We’re hoping eventually this will end up in the development of real drugs for the treatment of erectile dysfunction.”
