Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, Black Sherif and More Nominated for 2023 Ghana Music Awards USA

Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, Black Sherif, Sarkodie, and Piesie Esther are among the nominees for the 2023 Ghana Music Awards USA (GMA-USA). The awards seek to celebrate and honour Ghanaian entertainers in and outside the country, and to extend the advancement of the Ghanaian music industry at home and abroad.

The Emerging Artiste of the Year category features Vanilla, Naana Blu, and Rcee, while the Gospel Artiste of the Year category includes nominees like Piesie Esther, Celestine Donkor, Obaapa Christie, Diana Hamilton, Joe Mettle, Sonnie Badu, MOG Music, and others. The awards will also feature categories such as Highlife Artiste of the Year, Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year, Hiplife/Hiphop Artiste of the Year, and Best Collaboration of the Year.

The GMA-USA founder, Dennis Boafo, who is popularly known as Don D, has stated that a lot of preparations have gone into making this year’s event sponsored by TapTap a memorable one. He added that the team was not ready to drop its performance, as the score mark for GMA-USA has always been high.

Last year’s Artiste of the Year award was won by Kofi Kinaata, and the nominees for this year’s award are expected to put up an exciting show. The Ghana Music Awards USA 2023 is set to hold soon, and fans of Ghanaian music are eagerly anticipating the event.
