Afro-dancehall icon Stonebwoy held a lavish party at Polo Beach Club in Accra on Friday, April 28, 2023, to celebrate the release of his fifth album, ‘5th Dimension’. The party, which was exclusively for a select audience, included notable personalities in Ghana’s creative industry such as Bulldog, D-Black, Ignace Huga, George Britton, Mr. Freddie Blay, KOD, Berla Mundi, and more. The event also had Asafa Powell, former world’s fastest man, and Stonebwoy’s wife, Dr. Louisa, in attendance.
‘5th Dimension’ features seventeen tracks and is Stonebwoy’s fifth album, following ‘Grade 1’, ‘Necessary Evil’, ‘Epistles of Mama’, and ‘Anloga Junction’. The album is a fusion of African and international sounds and features top African artists such as Davido, Oxlade, and Tiwa Savage from Nigeria, Angélique Kidjo from Benin, and DJ Maphorisa from South Africa. It also includes collaborations with international stars such as Shaggy, Dexta Daps from Jamaica, Mereba from the US, and Jaz Karis from the UK.
Stonebwoy’s performance at the party was electrifying, with the BET award-winner captivating the audience with his new songs. He opened with track 17, ‘Manodzi,’ which features Angelique Kidjo, and went on to perform for two hours, including a performance with popular dancehall artist Epixode.
