SES HD PLUS Trains Over Hundred In its Inception

SES HD PLUS, the premium satellite broadcast service provider in Ghana, has successfully concluded its 2023 HD+ Installer Training Program. The initiative aims to provide employment opportunities in Ghana while ensuring that HD+ users receive professional installation services from accredited technicians.

The CEO of SES HD PLUS, Adelaide Abbiw-Williams, expressed her satisfaction with the outcome of the program, stating that the company’s goal is not only to provide a high-quality television viewing experience for subscribers but also to promote socio-economic growth. Since the launch of SES HD PLUS in Ghana, the company has trained over 10,000 installers to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to empower locals, businesses, and communities economically.

The training program provides practical, job-centered training programs for installers, in addition to free dust coats and training materials to enhance their businesses. The closing ceremony of the training program was held at the Adabraka Presbyterian Church on 9th May 2023.

The training program has been highly beneficial to the trainees, with many expressing gratitude for the opportunity to learn a valuable trade. A beneficiary of the training program, Andrews Allotey, commended HD+ for the critical role it plays in Ghana’s socio-economic development. He assured HD+ subscribers that their devices would be in capable hands and that the FeeliFeeli experience of HD quality television viewing would be passed on to them.

The United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 8 aims to promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all. SES HD PLUS’s training program is a significant contribution towards achieving this goal. The initiative creates employment opportunities, thus reducing the burden on taxpayers’ funds in creating jobs.
