The scandal surrounding Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie’s battle with actress Yvonne Nelson, which is related to an alleged abortion that allegedly took place ten years ago, has flared up once more.
Nearly two months have passed since the first altercation, but Sarkodie still seems keen about not allowing Yvonne Nelson relax, accusing her of bringing discredit to his name.
Sarkodie didn’t hold back as he sang about the widespread hype created by his answer to “you-know-who” in a diss song named “Try Me” in his most recent song, “Check My Zingo” with Dope Nation.
He made a frontal attack on her, implying that she might think about leaving the nation if she was unable to manage the strain or criticism.
“If they claim what I said broke her heart, then madam flee from Ghana just in case I offend you,” he rapped in Twi.
The song’s lyrics have once again sparked discussions among Sarkodie and Yvonne Nelson supporters.
While some people are upset that the rapper brought up earlier scandals, others find the ongoing conflict between the two well-known players in Ghana’s entertainment scene interesting.
Actress Yvonne Nelson stirred some debate when she identified Tema-based rapper Sarkodie as the person who impregnated and dumped her in her autobiography, “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson.”
As a result, the rapper decided to write a song in which he gave his version of the events, claiming that they both agreed to have the abortion since the child would harm Yvonne’s education.
He referred to her as a woman for the streets and an attention seeking in a rough rap.
