Samuel Koku Anyidoho, former Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has declared vindication for his accusation that the party was suffering from moral decay.

Referencing General Secretary Fifi Kwetey’s recent admission that the NDC needs to clean house, Anyidoho stated that his alleged dismissal from the party was due to similar comments.

He asked the current chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, and the party’s leader, Joh Dramani Mahama, to take similar measures against Kwetey since Asiedu Nketiah supervised the procedure that resulted to Anyidoho’s expulsion for anti-party activities as the party scribe at the time.

“Let the Chairman and the Leader of the NDC dare come out and sack the General Secretary if they have the “balls” to do so,” he posted on X (formerly Twitter).

His message was accompanied with Kwettey’s address during the 31st Revolution commemoration event, which honored former President Jerry John Rawlings’ second term as a military commander in 1981.

“There is real decay and that decay continues to be in the NDC today. So, I don’t want us the NDC to pretend that 31st is simply a day to bash NPP, (the) NPP is not the issue, the issue is bigger than NPP.

“The decay even within the NPP must stop with that blazing fire and that is what this business is about,” Kwetey submitted.

He emphasized that the NDC’s triumph in 2024 will be worthless until it rids itself of internal deterioration.
