In particular at this critical moment when Ghana is experiencing an economic crisis, Reverend Kingsley Asare Addo has asked Christians to put their faith in God to turn things around.

He said that despite their difficulties, Ghanaians shouldn’t lose hope in God because, when God decides to act, everything will turn around.

In an interview with Ghanaweb, he expressed his optimism that things will improve in the nation.

“… I urge Believers to continue to trust in the God of the Impossible. Nothing is impossible for him. Our master occasionally faced difficulty, but he prevailed. Ghana will experience this difficulty, but I am confident that when God decides to intervene, our situation will completely change.

Also, Rev. Addo urged Christians to adhere to the real teachings of their religion and abstain from social vices like greed and corruption.

“Hang on to the fundamental substance of the Christian religion,” he said. I attend church, and we are celebrating Good Friday, so it appears that we are happy with the outer appearance, but the message is one of repentance. Repent from your sins, let’s abstain from all the vices that are destroying our nation, and ask yourself: Is it Christian to be corrupt? Is being greedy a Christian virtue? Was that the model Christ gave us? I thus urge Ghanaians to cling to the genuine message of Christ, according to which redemption is ours if we turn from our sins and repent.

Being the day of the Son of God’s crucifixion, Good Friday is noteworthy in the Christian calendar. His death on the cross was the height of self-giving and the pinnacle of his love for people.

Christians gather in churches on Good Friday to consider the ultimate price Jesus paid for humanity.
