In the Eastern Region’s Lower Krobo Municipality, in the Ahodwo neighborhood of Kpong, an unnamed mother has abandoned her newborn baby girl.
The infant was discovered on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at the front door of the New Covenant Apostolic church’s resident pastor.
She arrived on Saturday, July 15, according to a message that was handed with her.
The kid should be treated like one of their own, the mother said in the message.
Although she expressed guilt for her actions, she said that doing so was the only way the infant might possibly survive.
The mother continued to apologize and ask for forgiveness, implying that by the time the person who saves the baby reads the message, she would already be dead and gone.
The note read; “By the time you will finish reading this letter, I will be dead and gone, please take care of this baby as your own child.
Please, I regret doing this but that is the only way this baby can have a chance to live. Please she was born just yesterday night. Please take care of her. I’m sorry please forgive me. God bless you.”
Meanwhile, Police at Kpong have launched investigations into the matter.
