Reverend Charles Amankwah, who was a Catholic priest for 17 years before joining the Anglican faith, has spoken about his struggles to get married and consummate his marriage. During an appearance on the television program StandPoint with his wife, the Reverend revealed how he abandoned his own beliefs and doctrines for the love of a woman.

It was revealed during the interview that the couple has been married for a decade, following the Reverend’s decision to leave the Catholic Church and join the Anglican Church. He previously served as an assistant parish priest at Holy Trinity Parish in Agormanya, Eastern Region, and later as the parish priest of St. Barbara Parish in Akosombo, Eastern Region.

According to rumors, Rev. Amankwah left the Catholic Church because he began a prayer ministry, and its actions did not follow the organization’s creed. When he left the Catholic Church, it was difficult for him to show his love for Ruth, a teacher and mother of three, and his father had to court her on his behalf.

During the interview, Rev. Amankwah admitted that he did not have a smooth ride in his proposal to Ruth, as he could not propose to her himself. Instead, it was his father who proposed to Ruth on his behalf. The couple stated that they had not been intimate before their marriage, which is now nine years old.

Rev. Amankwah also spoke about his difficulties in consummating the marriage, stating that the first night was especially memorable. Despite these challenges, the couple has remained together for ten years, and their love has continued to blossom.

The Reverend’s story is an inspiring one, showing that sometimes it takes a great deal of courage to follow your heart, even if it means going against your beliefs and doctrines. It also shows that love can conquer all, even the most challenging obstacles.
