NPP MP Sly Tetteh has described Sam George’s threats as “threats of a cockroach”. Sly Tetteh dismissed the threats from the Ningo Prampram MP who had earlier warned that political figures with investments in the country should act in a civil manner in order to avoid losing their investments.

During a discussion on Metro TV, Sam George said, “Those with investment beating the war drums, they should continue, it doesn’t take a lot to raze down people’s investment. Fifty cedis fuel and one matchstick is what is needed.” Sly Tetteh rebutted by stating, “This is a threat of a cockroach, and like William Shakespeare said, cowards die many times before their death.

Cowards die many times before their death. Please, stop this.” The discussion centered on the upcoming 2024 elections and the NDC’s stance that they will not go to court after the elections. Sam George also criticized the Agric Minister, Bryan Acheampong, who recently said that the NPP will match the NDC in 2024 and that they will never hand over power to them. Sly Tetteh and Sam George are both MPs for the Greater Accra region.
