In advance of the 2024 general elections, Sarah Adwoa Safo, the current representative for the Dome Kwabenya seat on the New Patriotic Party ticket, has declared her desire to contest in the parliamentary primary.
When she invited numerous election officials to her Kwabenya house, she made the affirmation.
In the constituency, she had also met the female organisers and other party leaders.
Seth Kofi Osei-Kissi, her head of staff, claims that the CEOs and other supporters of the MP have said, “No Adwoa Safo, no vote.”
He claims that the statement followed the MP’s justification for her protracted absence from her legislative duties.
2022, according to the chief of staff, will be a difficult year for her and her family.
He said it was sad for the MP since she had lost her baby in delivery and her first kid had nearly developed a handicap.
He continued by saying that locals were perplexed as to why she never offered this justification and allowed abuse to occur against her at those occasions.
The MP has returned, he claims, and “will work for her people and Ghana as a sitting MP and will run for election as an MP again.”
The MP made it clear that she had a social contract with the residents of Dome Kwabenya and would uphold that commitment by continuing to defend their interests in Parliament.
Additionally, Sarah Adwoa Safo said she will keep speaking with the CEOs of each constituency individually.
