Niger Ambassador to Ghana Promotes African Relations and Development

Yahaya Alhassan, founder of the Humanity Magazine, has praised the Niger Ambassador to Ghana, Mrs. Lamido Salamatou Bala Goga, for her role in enhancing African relations and development. Alhassan spoke at a women empowerment program organized by Radio Kejetia at Alisa Hotel in Accra, where he commended the diplomat’s commitment to promoting the ideals of the African Continental Free Trade Area Agreement (AfCFTA).

Alhassan believes that personal and business relations across Africa can advance the goals of AfCFTA. He noted that socializing across the continent would help to appreciate the diverse cultures and build synergy for the development of trade and industry. Additionally, personal relationships would build confidence among Africans and enhance the patronage of locally produced goods and services.

The Humanity Magazine founder thanked Ambassador Salamatou for her industrious role in promoting the AfCFTA program. He also urged Ghanaians to explore the trading opportunities in Niger. He emphasized that the elimination of trade barriers and boosting of intra-Africa trade would create employment opportunities for citizens.

Alhassan commended the Niger Ambassador to Ghana for promoting African culture and art exhibitions. He believes that this is an impactful development for the tourism potential of Ghana and Niger. According to him, both countries have cultural and natural beauty to showcase to the world. He, therefore, encouraged the world to discover Niger and Ghana for a fulfilling trip while exploring investment opportunities.

The unique diplomatic duty of Mrs. Lamido has seen her attending the funeral ceremony for the late Chief of Kumasi-Zongo, H.H. Sultan Umar Farouk, who died in 2023. She also participated in a Quran recitation with the Muslim community in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. This shows her commitment to building bridges between the two countries and promoting cultural exchange.

For the most part, Mrs. Lamido Salamatou Bala Goga has shown her commitment to African relations and development through her diplomatic duties in Ghana. Her promotion of the AfCFTA program, cultural exchange, and trade opportunities between the two countries is commendable.
