The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi, has expressed his dissatisfaction with the comments made by the Minister of Food and Agriculture, Bryan Acheampong. According to Sammy Gyamfi, the statement made by Bryan Acheampong further emphasizes the lawlessness and arrogance that some government officials exhibit in Ghana.

The Minister had been speaking to members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) during a health walk on Saturday, April 8, in Kwahu. He assured the party members that the economy would bounce back soon, stating that the government was working on securing a deal with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which he hoped would be concluded by June.

Bryan Acheampong also stated that the NPP would not concede power to the NDC, adding that the NPP had the men to maintain their hold on the government. He further warned the NDC against using violence and threats in the 2024 elections, stating that they would show the NDC that they had the men to secure their victory.

Sammy Gyamfi condemned the statement, saying it shows a lack of respect for democracy and the rule of law. He stated that Ghana is a democratic country, and every political party has the right to contest for power. He added that threats of violence and lawlessness are unacceptable and called for restraint and peaceful conduct in the 2024 elections.

Gyamfi urged all political parties to prioritize the development of Ghana and to work towards building a better and stronger nation. He stated that Ghana is bigger than any political party or individual, and everyone must put the interest of the country first.
