NDC primary: Bimbilla Chairman to support Mahama at all costs

President John Dramani Mahama’s ambition to lead the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the general elections of 2024 has received the endorsement of NDC executives in the Bimbilla constituency in the Northern region.

On his visit to the region as part of his campaign trip, the former president received the assurance in Bimbilla.

Following Mr. Mahama’s arrival in Bimbilla, the mood was politically tense.

He had been to Yendi and Kpandia, among other districts, before arriving. There was a warm welcome given to him in each of the constituencies he visited.

The Bimbilla SHS’s unfinished dining hall was completely occupied.

The former president was given the full endorsement of the delegates from the Bimbilla constituency on May 13 by the constituency chairman of the NDC in Bimbilla, Mashood Abiola.

“We want to reassure the former president Mahama that we will fully support him on May 13 if he is well and strong. On the basis of what he has accomplished for the constituency and his leadership, our position is clear for Mr. Mahama, he added.

The party’s regional organiser, Alhaji Baba Zee, supports John Mahama because he thinks he can change the course of the nation.

“He is the ideal candidate to turn around the nation’s fortunes. He said, “He has our full backing.

Ibn Abass, a former District Chief Executive for Nanumba North under the NDC, also offered his opinion on why John Mahama is the ideal candidate for Ghana right now.

John Dramani Mahama, a former president, appealed for cooperation among party members to guarantee success in the 2024 elections.

Mr. Mahama emphasised that “we must all work together to ensure that we win the 2024 elections.”
